Horn Development Action s committed to creating sustainable solutions to the pressing challenges faced by communities in Somalia and the Horn of Africa. Our work spans a wide range of impactful programs and initiatives, all aimed at empowering vulnerable populations, fostering resilience, and building a brighter future.
Key Focus Areas:
- Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship: We equip youth with the skills, resources, and opportunities to become self-reliant and contribute to economic growth.
- Health & Environmental Sanitation (HES): HornDA enhances public health through sanitation initiatives and improved access to healthcare services.
- Human and Child Rights: Our programs advocate for and protect the rights of children and marginalized communities, including victims of violence and discrimination.
- Education and Capacity Building: From literacy and numeracy programs to teacher training and community-based education, we prioritize learning as a foundation for development.
- Climate Change and Environmental Protection: We combat deforestation, raise awareness about climate change, and promote sustainable practices to protect the environment.
- Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution: HornDA fosters harmony through peace training, conflict resolution programs, and reconstruction efforts.
- Community Development and Public Awareness: Mobilizing communities to address pressing issues such as drug use, sanitation, and violence through targeted campaigns and awareness programs.
- Support for Vulnerable Groups: We provide aid and services for refugees, IDPs, orphans, people with disabilities, and children affected by armed conflict or living on the streets.
